Belly Dancing at the Breakfast Buffet

I dip my fingers in the danish and move
on to the bagels.

Slip and slide down my thighs chocolate hazelnut surprise— jelly rolls.
That. takes. guts.
Smoother still, perhaps a scone.

Butter bacon you bet makin’ my ass shakin’ biscuits bakin’ gravy sausage links
home fries.

More clean plates.
Eggs four ways are waitin’!
And that mimosa has my name on it.

Don’t you just love a good breakfast buffet?

Wrote this in the middle of the night on a recent work trip. Couldn’t sleep because I was staying on a floor at the hotel that is rumored to be haunted by a past housekeeping supervisor… and darned if she didn’t ‘huff’ at me (loudly) while writing this, obviously upset that I had the lights on all night. True story.

Thanks for reading!

Have you been invited to a formal Japanese style meal?
