Welcome to my blog!
I am a writer and poet continuing my career as a registered nurse, health educator, and speaker. I write under the pen name Kelly Huntson, formerly known as Nurse Kelly on this blog.
I have worked for over ten years in corporate wellness providing individual consultations and employee education with respect to disease and lifestyle management. I am happily married and the proud mother of two children.
Truthfully, I am just like you, wandering in the wilderness, hands outstretched, feeling my way as I go, reminding myself that every day is a gift; to not take myself too seriously.
I do not know where my writing journey will lead, but I love the prospect of what could be. Simply put, I love words. I love the way they flow and collide, dance and sing, shout and whisper, express and elicit emotion. And that is why I write. And that is all this blog is about. I hope you like it.
Thank you for reading.
“I am not washed and beautiful, in control of a shining world in which everything fits, but instead am wandering awed about on a splintered wreck I’ve come to care for, whose gnawed trees breath a delicate air, whose bloodied and scarred creatures are my dearest companions, and whose beauty bats and shines not in imperfections but overwhelmingly in spite of them.”
