I am a writer and poet continuing my practice as a registered nurse, health educator and speaker. I am also certified in cognitive-behavioral group therapy and practice Ayurveda in my personal life.
I write under the pen name, Kelly Huntson, formerly known as Nurse Kelly on this site. So yeah, I don’t really exist. lol
Seriously though, I am happily married (twenty-four years and counting!) and the proud mother of two young adults and one beloved dog named Ruby.
What else. I love to write! Writing pays tribute to my vivid imagination by attending to all my dimensions; the reason why ‘All of Me’ is my tagline. It keeps me in touch with how sensitive, romantic, curious, and creative I am. Writing is about who I am becoming.
I compose poetry on the blog more than any other writing form due to the freedom I find in its structure. Poetry is therapeutic for me, and I always hope my words find their way to those who need them.
Lastly, if you are interested in my health-related posts, they can be accessed through the menu. And that’s about it ‘about me’ and this blog! Thank you very much for the visit. I wish you all the best in health and happiness.

“Creativity is great medicine for all, both the creator and the one who experiences it. It prevents disease and promotes wellness. It is not indulgence, it is fundamental to medical practice.”
Patch Adams, M.D., as quoted in Illness and the Art of Creative Self-Expression by John Graham-Pole (Oakland, CA: New Harbinger, 2000)
